Podcast S3. Ep. 11: Navigating A Brick-And-Mortar Business and Online Coaching – While Mothering Like a Boss with Andrea Nichols

“If you are a working mother, this is a universal experience of like the two are never separate. Like even other there’s literally never a time. Even now that my children are teenagers and, you know, a 12 year old, there’s never a time that they’re not integrated into how my day works or integrated into how my schedule works.” – Kirsten Screen [16:29]

Andrea didn’t have the most conventional entry into the business world. But after getting her degree in Fine Arts with a minor in entrepreneurship, she’s been able to look at business as another act of creation – one that’s allowed her to remake her career and business as needed as she builds her life and business around the demands of motherhood.

In this episode, Andrea shares her educational history and how that influenced her business decisions later. She shares the big risk she took jumping into business at the same time as she entered motherhood, and how becoming a mother has informed the way she runs her business. She also details her decision to move from solely brick-and-mortar to an online community.

Meet Andrea Nichols:

Andrea’s coaching career started in 2008 as a Pilates instructor and personal trainer. In 2013 she opened her own brick-and-mortar Pilates studio, The Pilates Cure, and later her online studio, CURE Online,  where she and her team still passionately serve a diverse clientele from professional athletes to actively aging seniors. Coaching in the fitness industry is where Andrea started to realize the void surrounding women’s health and thus Andrea Kay Wellness was born.

Andrea Kay Wellness started as an extension of Pilates Cure and CURE Online. However, it soon became clear Andrea’s mission was to help women reclaim their power and live unapologetically by letting go of social norms and learning how to prioritize peace and security from within instead of looking for external validation.

You can work with Andrea in a variety of ways, both in-person and online through 1:1 coaching, courses, and masterminds.

Andrea’s journey embodies resilience, determination and letting go of shame, qualities she shares openly with her students. Through her teachings and personal experiences, Andrea seeks to empower others to embrace their paths and get a bit messy no matter the challenges they may encounter.
